Historically, cacao has been referred as Theobroma cacao (Food of the Gods), and was revered by the Olmec and Mayan ancient civilizations.
A super food for the body, mind and spirit
Cacao is naturally low in caffeine and rich in vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants. It is a great source of magnesium, iron, and potassium, contributing to muscle relaxation, cognitive health and stress reduction.
As the main component of Cacao, theobromine helps increasing blood circulation, improves mood, enhances alertness and creativity, promoting an overall sense of well-being and connection. Cacao is also a source of anandamine, a fatty acid neurotransmitter. Derived from the Sanskrit word, “Ananda”, which means bliss, anandamide is a key molecule that acts as a ligand neurotransmitter in the regulation of emotions, leading to an heightened state of inner peace and ease.
Ceremonial Cacao is more than a drink. It is a self-exploration plant medicine and a mindfulness practice that allows us to deeply connect with ourselves.
