First Moon Cacao Ceremony (3 to 4 hours)
First Moon Cacao Ceremony (3 to 4 hours)
A ritual for first menstruations is a beautiful way to celebrate daughters and young girls as they step into womanhood with inner trust and confidence. The cacao plant holds a feminine energy in which women can source the wisdom of nature and connect with themselves.
Hormonal changes during a woman's cycle cause levels of serotonin to fluctuate, often causing a search for pleasure and satisfaction that can be found in chocolate. Ceremonial cacao is rich in iron, magnesium and antioxidants, which are important minerals and nutrients to help relieve cramps, reduce inflammation, relax the muscles and allow the woman to connect with the intuitive power of her womb during her bleeding phase.
In addition to an opening prayer and a service of Cacao, the ceremony may include:
Gentle yoga and breathing exercises (pranayama).
Cacao face mask.
Guided meditation, poetry and songs.
Womb self-massage.
Writing a letter to the young woman to support her. I would send her one letter each month.
Some education about a woman's monthly cycle.
Creating essential oil blends, bath salts or candle making with beeswax.
Every ceremony is unique. If you would like me to facilitate a First Moon Cacao Ceremony, we would have an initial call to discuss your needs and preferences.
